Brad has been in the field of plumbing for his entire life and began learning about the business when his father started John's Plumbing in 1984. He devoted his time to the business during every weekend and summer break as well. His parents wanted him to enjoy his profession always, and as a result, he began taking flying lessons at the age of 17.
After he graduated from high school, he attended Auburn University where he graduated with an aviation management degree with professional flight. During his time at Auburn, he received a commercial pilot certificate, a multi-engine rating, and an instrument rating to pursue a career in aviation.
In January 2003, Brad's father passed away unexpectedly and then, he decided to work for John's Plumbing instead of a career in aviation. He didn't want his father's hard work to be in the hands of the highest bidder. So, he purchased the business from his father's estate in a few years and hasn't looked back since then. He learned about the hardships and successes of a business and believes that the hard times have taught him to appreciate the good times as well.
If he's ever asked about missing the thrill of flying airplanes, he mentions that he misses it only when he passes an airport or hears an airplane fly. Brad is a certified Master Plumber, Master Gas Fitter, and is certified as an Alabama General Contractor by the State. He received his TREEO backflow certification while attending the University of Florida. Brad has also completed the manufacturer-specific training for Lochinvar boilers, Navien tankless water heaters, Noritz tankless water heaters, and Leonard mixing valves.
Brad is married to Brandi Vines, and they have two children, Cameron, 6, and Hudson, 3. They live in Clay, Alabama and are members of the North Clay Baptist Church. His hobbies include riding dirt bikes and water skiing.
